Industrial Cybersecurity with Kaspersky Lab

Kaspersky held its 5th international Cybersecurity conference in Saint Petersburg with the theme “Safeguarding Progress”, a platform to exchange on the importance of implementing cybersecurity in the risk management strategy of any industrial organization.

In the recent years the fight against virus, malwares and spywares has become a priority especially for industrial control systems (ICS) and supervisory control and data acquisition systems (SCADA) that represent constant targets.

As some attacks such as Stuxnet or BlackEnergy proved, even the more isolated networks can be passed through. Traditional security is no longer sufficient to protect industrial environments from cyber threats.

The conference gathered leading IT security specialists working with industrial control systems, alongside senior management from the electric power, engineering, transport, atomic and other worldwide industries.

PcVue was present as a technical partner with its own booth and on Kaspersky demos, illustrating how a SCADA application should be protected thanks to KICS for nodes, KICS for network and the Kaspersky Security Center.
